To our wonderful Haircare Superstore community,

We wanted to share an important update with you about some changes to how we'll be operating over the coming months.

This hasn't been an easy decision to make, and it's certainly not one we've taken lightly.

From Thursday, 15 October 2026, Haircare Superstore will be moving to one dispatch day per week, every Tuesday, until further notice.

Our website will remain open, and you'll still be able to shop your favourite haircare products as usual. The only difference is that your orders may take a little longer to reach you.

Why we're making this change

Behind Haircare Superstore is a very small family business, and like so many other Australian small businesses, the past few years have been challenging.

In July this year, our already tiny team of two became a team of one — just me.

Since then, I've been doing my best to keep everything running, from ordering stock and packing parcels to managing the website, answering customer enquiries and all the other little things that happen behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, I'm now facing another challenge.

I need to undergo major surgery, which will require approximately six months of medical leave and a lengthy recovery.

Under normal circumstances, we'd love nothing more than to bring someone on board to keep things running as they always have. But with the current economic climate and the pressures facing small businesses, employing someone to cover the hours I work simply isn't financially possible.

That has left us with some incredibly difficult decisions to make.

Finding a way forward

Rather than closing our doors, we have been looking at ways to keep Haircare Superstore operating while allowing me the time I need to recover.

Moving to one dispatch day per week is the most practical option we've found.

It means we can continue providing our customers with the products they love, keep our little family business going, and hopefully come through this challenging period in a position to move forward.

It's not the level of service we've always aimed to provide, and that's something I've personally struggled with. But sometimes running a small business means making decisions you never imagined you'd have to make.

What this means for your orders

From 15 October 2026:

• Orders will be dispatched every Tuesday until further notice.

• You can continue placing orders through our website at any time.

• Orders placed after a weekly dispatch may need to wait until the following Tuesday.

• Express Post will temporarily be unavailable. With orders only being dispatched once a week, we don't feel it's fair to offer an express shipping option when we can't provide the faster turnaround our customers would reasonably expect.

• Delivery timeframes will depend on the dispatch date and the shipping service selected.

• We'll continue to do our best to help with customer enquiries, although responses may occasionally take a little longer than usual.

We completely understand that this arrangement won't suit everyone, particularly if you need something urgently. We want you to know what to expect before you place an order so you can make the decision that's right for you.

One thing that's always mattered to us is being honest with our customers.

We know you have plenty of choices when it comes to purchasing haircare products, and we never take it for granted when you choose to shop with us.

Every order, every lovely review, every kind message and every returning customer means more to our little business than you probably realise.

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Haircare Superstore, and I hope you'll continue to support us as we work through this next chapter.

For now, we're taking things one week at a time, doing our best to keep the business going, and focusing on what matters most.
